The Merrill Lynch international investment bank is willing to invest in Ukraine's preparation to the 2012 European Football Championship.
This reads the report of the Economy Ministry with the reference to the results of the meeting between the Economy Minister Anatolii Kinakh with the delegation from Merrill Lynch.
"The bank has expressed its interest in participation in implementing the program of preparation to the finals of the 2012 European Championship," the report reads.
In particular, Merrill Lynch plans to invest into projects of the transport infrastructure improvement, modernization of airports and hotels.
"The sides agreed to define the specific parameters of cooperation in the nearest future," the report reads.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on April 18 Ukraine and Poland won the bid to co-host UEFA's 2012 European soccer championship.
